In his ceremonial speech, Dr. Sándor Remsei, Dean of the Kautz Gyula Faculty of Business and Economics, highlighted that Széchenyi István University is a dynamically developing institution that has also gained recognition in global university rankings. The Faculty of Business and Economics hosts the highest number of international students and actively participates in implementing the university’s internationalization strategy.

The university offers several "double degree" programs: students of the International Economy and Business master’s program can obtain dual degrees through partnerships with Integral University in India and the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio in Italy, while Tourism Management students can earn dual diplomas through an agreement with the Polytechnic of Leiria in Portugal. Students participating in these programs receive diplomas from two universities simultaneously. At the graduation ceremony, Apajalahti Victoria Teresa, an MSc student in Tourism Management, was the first to receive diplomas from both institutions.

The event focused on the newly graduated students, who bear significant responsibility in today’s world, as their roles are crucial in addressing economic inequalities and promoting environmental sustainability. Lifelong self-improvement is essential, and the foundations for this were established during their university years. This knowledge serves not only as a basis for their professional growth but also as a solid foundation for adapting to the challenges of an ever-changing world.
