This special issue aims to examine the political relevance of non-state actors operating in various fields, including:

• Civil society organizations,

• Corporations,

• Media organizations,

• Academic institutions,

• Armed or violent non-state actors,

• Social movements.

The special issue adopts an interdisciplinary approach and welcomes contributions from a wide range of social sciences, including political science, sociology, economics, and history.

Publication and Participation Details

The special issue articles will be published in Gold Open Access format, meaning publication is free of charge, and accepted papers will be widely accessible to both the academic community and the public.
