Our Student Guided a Tour at the GeoNight 2025 Event by the Department of Tourism and Hospitality
On April 4 2025, the Department of Tourism and Hospitality at Széchenyi István University participated in the international GeoNight 2025 event. The department organized two city discovery walks, one in Hungarian and one in English. The program was led by Orsolya Lukács and Eliza Raffai.

The Hungarian-language walk offered a unique experience, as only two participants joined, making the tour intimate and personal. Starting from the vicinity of Széchenyi István University, the participants explored key landmarks such as Dunakapu Square, Gutenberg Square, Káptalandomb, and Széchenyi Square.
The English-language walk had a total of six participants. Based on their feedback, the tour proved to be an exciting and entertaining experience.
Orsolya Lukács shared her thoughts on guiding the Hungarian-language tour:
"Only two participants joined the Hungarian-language city tour organized as part of the GeoNight event. We started at Széchenyi István University and followed the route through Dunakapu Square, Gutenberg Square, Káptalandomb, and Széchenyi Square. Although the group was small, I truly enjoyed offering a personalized tour to Júlia and Tibor. Both have lived in Győr for years, yet I was happy to share interesting facts they hadn’t heard before. Thank you for the opportunity!"
We are very proud of our students, as the successful execution of the program reflects their dedication and professional preparedness.
