First-year Tourism and Catering student Horváth Berta participated in the national selection for the WorldSkills Croatia 2025 competition, an important step in preparing to represent our country at the EuroSkills Herning 2025 competition in Denmark in September.
The three-day competition took place in Zagreb from 9–11 April 2025. It was a valuable opportunity for our top talent to gain international experience.
The national competitors faced challengers from Hungary, Finland, Montenegro and Denmark. They had the chance to showcase their abilities in various professional tasks. The waiters, for example, demonstrated their ability to prepare a full meal, including decanting local wines and flambéing. They also had to identify alcoholic beverages by smell, decant and pour champagne professionally, and prepare a simple short cocktail.
Our competitor performed excellently, coming a close second to the Danish competitor, who already has international experience.

Berta Horváth is participating in the EuroSkills competition, which is organised by the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and WorldSkills Hungary.
