Participation of our students in the European Accounting Week

In February 2025, the European Accounting Week was held for the 25th time, having grown into one of the continent's most significant professional forums over more than two decades.

The event is organized annually by the European Accounting and Taxation in Practice (ETAP) organization, of which our faculty has been a member since 2016.This year, the week-long event once again brought together economics students from 17 dynamic universities across Europe, working in teams to acquire the fundamentals of international accounting in English and gain insight into the latest standards. The delegation from our university included Kristóf Lőrincz, Eszter Dóczi, and Rubina Reisinger, with Dr. Katalin Borbély serving as their mentor. The first part of the program began in early February with an online lecture on financial statement analysis. Based on this, each of the 22 teams worked on a complex analytical task over the next ten days.

During the in-person week, participants deepened their knowledge through professional lectures, interactive workshops, and team competitions while also having the opportunity to network with international students and explore the host university city, Ludwigshafen, and its surroundings.

The competition recognized students' work in multiple categories. Rubina Reisinger and her team won the "Best Team Spirit" award, while Kristóf Lőrincz and his teammates achieved 5th place in the overall professional competition among 22 teams.
