Széchenyi István University Reaches Another Milestone in Its Education Development Programme
Széchenyi István University has reached another significant milestone in its ongoing education development programme, with a strong emphasis on high-quality, market-oriented education. At the event titled "Educational Innovations in Higher Education", special attention was given to the latest pedagogical methods, such as project-based learning and competence development.
The importance of practice-oriented education was a key focus, particularly in light of growing collaborations with the corporate sector. The Student Project Support Programme has already been launched at several faculties, including those in the field of economics and business, with the goal of introducing project-based educational modules across all programmes at the university by 2030.
The Kautz Gyula Faculty of Business and Economics played a prominent role in the event, highlighting its active steps toward modernising education and strengthening practical knowledge. Students enrolled in the faculty’s programmes are increasingly participating in hands-on projects that address current challenges faced by the business world.
The conference also addressed the further development of competence assessments, project-based modules, and student socialisation programmes. Experience so far shows that these innovations effectively increase student motivation and improve their employability on the labour market.
