Tourism Club: Mindszenty exhibition and presentation
On 05 March 2025, from 16.30, the Tourism Club will continue its current half-yearly programme, which will start with the opening of an exhibition.
The Department of Tourism and Hospitality invites you to the exhibition Gates of Life - The Life of Cardinal Mindszenty, 5 March 2025 16.30 16.30, location: hall of the Management Campus.
The exhibition will be opened by Dr.Sándor Remsei, Dean of the Kautz Gyula Faculty of Economics of Széchenyi István University.
The exhibition will be presented by: Gergely Kovács, representative of the Mindszenty Foundation of Hungary, curator of the Mindszentyneum.

Seven words, seven colourful tableaux - like the seven candleholders that once welcomed the Archbishop on the church altar - and a related quiz to make the exhibition not only watchable but also decipherable. The former churchyard reveals the rich life of Cardinal Mindszenty, and perhaps the key to his life's decisions and personality. Home, church, prison and eternal homeland were his most important gates of life, and these will be the subject of the Széchenyi István University's painting installations from 5 to 14 March 2025. This exhibition evokes many human situations and decisions, opportunities and choices, paths and crossroads, departures and perspectives that may be familiar not only to Cardinal Mindszenty, but also to our own lives.
The exhibition is on until March 15 in the aula.
The opening of the exhibition will be followed by a presentation of the Tourism Club at 17.30 in MC 001.
