University Library and Archives
The goal of the Széchenyi István University's University Library and Archives (SZE EKL) is to support the university’s competitive education, high-level scientific research, and the advancement of innovation. It achieves this by establishing a regional information and documentation knowledge center, providing an engaging community space, offering user-friendly services, and maintaining a strong commitment to quality. Additionally, it places great emphasis on promoting environmental awareness, sustainability, and social responsibility.
The services offered by the library include:
Basic services: registration, borrowing, renewal, reservation, interlibrary loan, information services, computer use, and Wi-Fi access.
Reprographic services: photocopying, scanning, and printing.
Research support: management of MTMT (Hungarian Scientific Works Database), support for scientific research and publishing, knowledge repository, funding support for publishing, and tools supporting teaching and publishing.
Student support: Thesis-Help consultations, Scientific Students’ Associations (TDK) preparatory sessions, online information sharing (Info-share), and programs for freshmen.
Special services: opportunities for school community service, escape rooms, board games, room rental, and event organization.
Permanent exhibitions: István Széchenyi memorial exhibition, owl exhibition, university history exhibition, and the Dr. Ernő Barsi memorial exhibition.
University Library and Archives is committed to ensuring equal opportunities and provides professional support to the libraries of the university's affiliated primary and secondary schools.
Through the operation of the archives, it aims to preserve the history of higher education in Győr.
