The 2nd Summer School of the #TASA network will be held between July 4–14, 2025 in Győr under the title "The Future of Tourism – Digital Tools and Technological Solutions", organized by the Kautz Gyula Faculty of Business and Economics at Széchenyi István University.

On April 2, Henrik Klemencz, President of the Hungarian Water Tour Association, idea manager and Péter Giczi, water tour organiser and guide held a workshop for the BSc students of Tourism and Hospitality as part of the project-oriented internship in Urban Management.

From 1 April 2025, the department will be joined by a new colleague, Professor Dalia Štreimikiene. She has 10 years of experience in studies on energy planning, energy policy and strategy, energy economics, environmental and legal regulation of the energy sector, conducted together with Western experts; she has 20 years of academic research experience in energy economics and climate change mitigation policies. He has worked as a visiting professor and researcher at several international universities (e.g. Shanghai, Vietnam and China) and has been involved in the work of several international organisations, including the European Commission (EC), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the OECD.

His scientific work is reflected in an H-index of 85 and he has served on the editorial boards of several scientific journals, often as a guest editor.

As of 1 April 2025, Dr Barbara Eszter Huszár will join our department as an adjunct professor - congratulations on her PhD degree, which she obtained in February 2025 in the English language SZEEDSM programme of the Doctoral School. Barbara's research interests include green economics and decision theory, but she is also active in behavioural economics and sociology.

She is also the director of the Budapest Centre for Innovation and Training and an analyst and expert at the university's own spin-off company, ESG Uni-Consult.
