CEEPUS mission: Viktória Dr. Kundi in Kotor, Montenegro
Dr Viktória Kundi, Head of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality, Faculty of Economics, Széchenyi István University, Gyula Kautz, gave a lecture entitled 'Sustainable Tourism: Balancing Travel with Responsibility' at the University of Montenegro, Kotor, Montenegro, from 21-25 April, as part of the CEEPUS mobility programme.

New research professor at Kautz Gyula Faculty of Business and Economics

From 1 April 2025, the department will be joined by a new colleague, Professor Dalia Štreimikiene. She has 10 years of experience in studies on energy planning, energy policy and strategy, energy economics, environmental and legal regulation of the energy sector, conducted together with Western experts; she has 20 years of academic research experience in energy economics and climate change mitigation policies. He has worked as a visiting professor and researcher at several international universities (e.g. Shanghai, Vietnam and China) and has been involved in the work of several international organisations, including the European Commission (EC), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the OECD.
His scientific work is reflected in an H-index of 85 and he has served on the editorial boards of several scientific journals, often as a guest editor.

Barbara Eszter Huszár PhD was appointed assistant lecturer

As of 1 April 2025, Dr Barbara Eszter Huszár will join our department as an adjunct professor - congratulations on her PhD degree, which she obtained in February 2025 in the English language SZEEDSM programme of the Doctoral School. Barbara's research interests include green economics and decision theory, but she is also active in behavioural economics and sociology.
She is also the director of the Budapest Centre for Innovation and Training and an analyst and expert at the university's own spin-off company, ESG Uni-Consult.

Csaba Kőmíves PhD received an associate professor academic title

From April 1, 2025, Dr. Csaba Kőmíves will continue his work as Associate Professor. Csaba's goal is to actively participate in the state examination processes of the BSc in Tourism and Hospitality, and he would like to be able to offer more project-based courses in the renewed curriculum, which he can continue to teach.
Learning is not just a tool for her, it is a way of life - she believes in lifelong learning (LLL), while always being reliable and conscientious in her work.
Tourism is part of her everyday life, she is a member of the Hungarian National Gastronomy Association, she is in constant contact with external professional partners and even prepares students for competitions.
